there is no such thing as a shortcoming: we are all perfect as we are... when we know who we are

saying sorry doesn't mean you did something wrong, but that you appreciate how the other person feels / most people just want to be listened to

you should never be made to feel bad for being who you are / the truth is what it is no matter what you think

grownups are large children

emotions are chemical signals in the brain and body / sometimes silence is better

complex tasks can be done over a series of complex ones / what people think doesn't matter as much as how they feel

honest words are different to honest behaviour / many things were here before you. many things will be here after.

these thoughts may all be wrong but thinking about them makes a difference
